Obesity and Health Care

Finkelstein: "When you have a first-rate medical system that can cure the diseases that obesity promotes, you no longer need to worry so much about being obese."

Right, so that way you can just dump the burden on the taxpayers. So just go be fat and wait for a clogged artery. And then when you rush into the ER, you can make the hard-working tax paying citizens of the country cover the cost of your laziness. And then complain that you don't like your treatment. So then sue. And on top of that, complain about people who want to change the health-care system.

Anyway, the idea is silly. Only an idiot goes around driving over curbs because he has a good auto-mechanic - even if he doesn't pay the bills. Not everything can be fixed, not every fix is perfect, and nobody does the right repair job the right way all the time.
